Areas such as the North Yorkshire Moors and the Lake District have Moors or Mountains, magnificent scenery and some wonderful Pubs. However, when walking Pub to Pub in the North Yorkshire Moors or the Lake District, the Pubs tend to be separated by large distances. Hertfordshire does not have the Mountains or Moors but does have magnificent scenery; the big difference in Hertfordshire is the quantity and closer distribution of the Pubs. Hence in Pub Trail Hertfordshire, only those Pubs that we pass the front door of are listed. Also listed are some of the now closed pubs; not all because this subject could become a separate book in its own right! During the making of this book some closed Pubs opened, others closed and one closed and then re-opened!
